This course explores the intricacies of pesticide applications for landscape and turf settings, providing participants with essential knowledge and skills for performing responsible pesticide management. Participants will gain essential knowledge about pesticide toxicity and master the art of selecting and applying various pesticide formulations effectively, ensuring the safety of both the applicator and the environment. This course emphasizes the pivotal role of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in safeguarding against potential hazards. Furthermore, it highlights the consequences of environmental contamination due to pesticides. Furthermore, the curriculum underscores the importance of choosing the right pesticide for specific pest control tasks. To aid in their understanding, participants will cover valuable safety resources such as pesticide labels, Safety Data Sheets, and manufacturer instructions, arming them with the tools they need for informed and safe pesticide application.
